The Mainstreaming Financial Inclusion Project in India funded by UKIERI (2007-2020) has led to a 600 strong face to face household survey of 3 districts affected by heavy floods in the state of Kerala in South India.

Thirty interviewees who are members of the Kudambashree self-help group conducted the survey designed by the Co-Is Markose, Arun et al. to see how in the aftermath of extreme weather events, households faired economically and whether governmental and social welfare financial inclusion products and safety nets, respectively, worked for those affected by the floods in 2018.
